Understanding IMAP vs. POP3
Before setting up your email, it's important to choose the right protocol:
-
IMAP (Recommended): Emails are stored on the server, allowing you to access them from multiple devices. Any changes (like deleting or moving emails) sync across all devices.
-
POP3: Emails are downloaded to your device and removed from the server (unless set otherwise). This is useful if you only check email from one device and want to save storage on the server.
